Refuting Silas On Who Is The Comforter

This is a humble response and refutation to one of Online Article by Christian’s apologist – Silas on :

In the process i shall be copying Silas Response and My response will follows on blue fonts.

Silas started his response with :

REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF THE NEW TESTAMENT TEXTS

First, let the New Testament texts speak for themselves.  They clearly state that the Comforter is the Holy Spirit.  There is no ambiguity about this.  Consequently Muhammad is not the Comforter based upon what the Bible explicitly states.

My Response :

Apparently Silas is quoting

“Joh 14:26 KJV But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Intelligent reader can immediately noticed the phrase ” which is the Holy Ghost “ in John 14:26 is an interpolation by the Roman-Greco Writer to promote their Trinitarian bias. The Context of John 14 does not portray a God. God is everywhere, why God need to send ANOTHER God in Jesus’s name if God is everywhere and already residing within them (John 14:17)?

Second let us take the context of the texts into account.  If you are going to understand any passage of Scripture you must understand its context.  When Jesus spoke these words in John it was His last ministerial time with His disciples prior to His death, crucifixion, and resurrection.  Jesus is being very intimate with them.  Understand then, when he speaks to them He is including them – these very disciples, specifically.  These are the men He knew best and loved; they were His friends.  These were His final words to them, and He wanted them to know what was in store.

Therefore, knowing that these passages of John are being spoken intimately between Jesus and His disciples there are several key points we can discover concerning the Comforter and His relationship with Jesus’ disciples.

Silas continued :

John 14:16 — And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter to be with you forever – the Spirit of Truth.

The Comforter will be with these disciples forever.  Jesus promised the Comforter would be with these disciples forever.  Muhammad could not be the Comforter because he wasn’t born until over 500 years later – following the deaths of these disciples.  He was born around 570 and died around 632 AD

My response :

Joh 14:16 KJV And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you ANOTHER Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

According to Christian’s dogma, The Comforter is God because its the Holy Spirit(One of the separate person of tri-une God). So does this meant that Christian has ANOTHER Holy Ghost which has not been send? And that will be send only upon Jesus’s prayer? Yes it does! To claim that the ANOTHER Comforter is also the ANOTHER Holy Ghost shall inevitably render the TRINITY ridiculous. The Christian in effect are conceding that aside from the Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit they also have this ANOTHER Holy Spirit. Totally absurd.

Silas wrote :

John 14:17 — But you know him for he lives with you and will be in you.

The Comforter lives with the disciples already now and will later be ‘in’ them.   The Holy Spirit came to the disciples and indwelt them.  Muhammad could not be the Comforter because first he wasn’t around at the time when Jesus was speaking to his disciples nor second could he ever be in any of the disciples.  The Greek word is ‘en’, and it means ‘right inside’.  Jesus is saying that the Comforter will be ‘right inside’ of the disciples.

My Response :

Joh 14:17 KJV Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

To fully understood this verse let us the whole context and let us the scripture speak for itself as Silas also suggested.

The Representative of God on Earth is Prophet Of God!

I do believe that as we review the scriptures in the bible God will reveal to you that our interpretation of Jesus’ words is based on a falsehood doctrine with no biblical backing whatsoever.

There is no “SEPARATE” Holy Spirit.  If you are ready then let’s go directly to the bible for true enlightenment. To get a true understanding of Jesus’ words we have to start at John 14:1 thru 8. Jesus knows His ministry time is about to end and informs the Disciples that He will no longer be able to lead them. Now the next verses are crucial in gaining an understanding of what Jesus is trying to say:

  • I am the way the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also; and fromhenceforth ye know him and have “seen” him. JOHN 14:6-7

These verses are misunderstood by Christians because of the lies of the Catholic Church. The words of Jesusabove apply to all of God’s prophets and not just to Jesus. When a man is chosen by God he is speaking on behalf of God on earth and becomes God.That man becomes the “word”of God manifested in human form.

That particular prophet becomes the way to God, he tells the truth of God, and he teaches of the keys to eternal life! There is no way for any of us to reconnect to God unless we learn and follow the principles that are taught by Jesus and the other prophets of God as well. This was all Jesus was trying to say; nothing more. Let’s go to the next verse:

  • If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also; and from henceforth yeknow him and have “seen” him. JOHN 14:7

Now is Jesus trying to say that He is literally God/YHWH?? Of course not and in the context of each additional verse we will see that the Disciples never believed Jesus was making that sort of claim either. Now in verse 8, Philip asks Jesus to reveal to them who the Father YHWH really is. A frustrated Jesus looks at Philip in verse 9 and says the following:

  • …he that has seen me hast seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? JOHN 14:9

Jesus was a little agitated because Philip wasn’t really grasping Jesus’ true purpose for teaching them. Again Jesus is not claiming to be literally YHWH and I will prove that with the very next verse!

  • Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The “WORD”that I speak unto you I speak NOT OF MYSELFbut YHWH the Father that dwelleth in me“HE/YHWH” doeth the works. JOHN 14:10

I think this verse clearly says it all! As you can see Jesus gives us the definition of what He was trying to say all along. He is not the Father!

In the verse above Jesus takes Himself out of the heavenly Trinitarian equation again. First Philip wanted to see the Father, and Jesus tells Philip that since He is sent as God’s representative then you are seeing the Father. Why? Because Jesus is speaking on behalf of the Father, duh! For those who still do not understand Jesus’ words Jesus then adds to the verse and says that He is not talking about Himself!

Now if the man tells us that He is not talking about Himself, then who do you think He is speaking about? He is speaking only about the Father. Lastly, Jesus says that just like Moses, Elijah, Isaiah and the other Prophets, He is nothing more than a vessel that God uses to do the“works.” That’s right people, Jesus was just a prophet sent with the words of God!

In verse 12, Jesus tells the Disciples that they too can have the “same” power to become the “way, the truth, and the life.”

  • Verily, verily, I say unto you. He that believeth on me; the “works” that I do shall“he (Disciples) do also; and greater “works” than these shall he (Disciples) do; because I go unto my Father. JOHN 14:12,14

Wow, Jesus is a great teacher isn’t He! Jesus does not have any special powers. Jesus tells the Disciples that they also will be able to walk on water, turn water into wine or even raise the dead and even greater miracles than these. All the Disciples have to do is one thing:

  • If ye love me. Keep my commandments. JOHN 14:15

Just keep the commandments and follow Jesus’ commandments and instruction. Again how hard is that? Now we can move on to understand Jesus words about the comforter:

Let’s read Jesus’ words:

  • And I will pray the FATHER and HE shall give you ANOTHER Comforter, that (HE) may abide with you for ever; Even the SPIRIT OF TRUTH whom the world cannot receive because it seeth Him not neither knoweth Him but ye know Him for He dwelleth with you and shall be in you. JOHN 14:16, 17

Now this is where the story gets interesting. We have all read verses 16 and 17 as one full statement. That is totally incorrect. The problem with that is you do not get the full understanding of what each verse is actually saying. Each verse is actually saying something different and distinct and we didn’t understand it.

As I break down each verse I’ll show you what I mean. Now in the verse below, Jesus is trying to console the Disciples:

  • And I will pray the FATHER and HE shall give you ANOTHER Comforter, that (HE) may abide with you forever. JOHN 14:16

Since Jesus is about to leave, Jesus tells the Disciples that He is going to pray and ask God to see if God will send them another teacher that will be allowed to stay with them always. Now let’s move to the next verse:

  • Even the SPIRIT OF TRUTH whom the world cannot receive because it seeth Him not neither knoweth Him but ye know Him for He dwelleth with you and shall be in you. JOHN 14:16, 17

Now is this comforter person going to “be” the spirit of truth or is he going to“teach” the word of truth? The answer is that He is going to teach the “word”of truth and he will replace Jesus as God’s voice on earth. This new prophet will teach the lost people the “truth”about God because the people are lost and refuse to receive Him. The world cannot see God because the world does not know who He is.

Jesus tells the Disciples they already have knowledge of YHWH because He lives inside them. YHWH/HOLY SPIRIT shall always be “in” them. Now you are starting to gain an understanding! Now before we go on, I want you to see another misunderstood concept of Jesus:

  • …and I will “manifest myself” to him.  JOHN 14:21

We all think that Jesus was saying that He has power to appear and reappear to us from heaven. This is not what Jesus meant by manifesting Himself to us. Even Judas wanted to know what Jesus meant by these words. So let’s have Jesus give us an explanation of His words:

  • …If a man loves me, he will keep my “words”; and my Father/YWHW will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode with him.  JOHN 14:23

So as you can see, if we simply follow and obey the principles of Jesus about God then the love of God and the love of our teacher Jesus will always be in our hearts. People will look upon us and when they see us, they will see the Father!

When they look upon us they will see Jesus and Elijah, Moses and the rest of the ministers of God too! Now let’s move on to Jesus next mention of this comforter:

  • But the COMFORTER, which is the HOLY GHOST{SPIRIT}, whom the FATHER WILL SEND in my name HE SHALL TEACH you “ALL” things: and bring ALL THINGS to remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you.  JOHN 14:26

Jesus says the new prophet whom the Father will send to replace Him will be the Holy Spirit, YHWH on earth.

Jesus says that this prophet will teach the world all things and bring all things to remembrance!”

Jesus makes it clear that He and this Comforter are representatives or prophets of God.

Now for the shocking verse!

  • Hereafter I will not talk much with you; for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.  JOHN 14:30

Now Jesus tells us something that Christians can’t accept. Jesus clearly says:“Hereafter or, soon I will not be able to talk to you anymore.”

Now why is that Jesus? It was because the prince of the world, Satan was about to come and cause His death. Now you know straight from Jesus’ own mouth that He is not supernaturaland a part of the Trinity Godhead!

John 14:31 eliminates Jesus from being a supernatural god altogether and show us that He considered Himself to be only a prophet that was sent by God!

  • But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me a commandment, even so I do.  JOHN 14:31

The comforter that Jesus told us about was supposed to make us remember the TRUE message of Jesus concerning all the things GOD has told us to do in the faithful service of Him.

As you can see, mainstream Christians have no idea what Jesus was trying to say.

Christian’s concept of the Holy Ghost in their churches is a learned false act of vain showmanship for the masses. This is definitely not what Jesus was speaking of in any of the scriptures.

Lets move on with another contention of Silas :

John 14:26 — The Comforter is specifically described as the Holy Spirit.   The Comforter is not a man.  Muhammad could not be the Comforter because he was never the Holy Spirit.

My Response :  As stated earlier, the phrase ” Which is The Holy Ghost ” is obviously an interpolation to promote a Trinitarian dogma. Canonical interpretation and all verses related to the Comforter depict a dependent, insufficient being. Thus it cant be God!

Silas wrote :

John 14:26 — The Comforter will be sent in Jesus’ name.  The Holy Spirit represented the Lord on earth.  No Muslim believes that Muhammad was sent by God in Jesus name.  Muhammad did not come in Jesus’ name, as the apostle of Jesus, rather he came in his own name with his own questionable “revelations”.

My Response : As stated previously, ALL Prophets of God on Earth is His Mouthpiece, his Representative. Moses was described as an Elohim in Exodus 7:1 when he was send to Pharaoh. Muhammad(saw) has attested through the Holy Quran that Jesus(as) was a Prophet Of God, a Word from God, a Spirit from God, and a mighty Messiah! One can simply open the Holy Quran and search this facts.

Silas wrote :

John 14:26But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

The Comforter will teach these disciples and remind them of what Christ said to them.  As the early Christians grew the Holy Spirit taught them.  Muhammad is not the Comforter because he never knew the disciples and he didn’t teach these disciples, and Muhammad never reminded the disciples of what Christ said.

My Response :

Joh 14:26 KJV But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

We may ask the Christianity as to what this “Holy Ghost” taught them regarding what Jesus have said before he ascended. Haplessly, all what heard from the Christians are ;

  1. Abandoning Of Torah instead of Keeping The Torah as what Jesus said in Matthew 5:17-19
  2. Worshiping him as God  instead of Jesus advice to worship the Father alone in John 4:24, Matthew 6:5-13

The numerous sects, denominations, cults in Christianity, each condemning each other of heresy but amazingly all claim of the in-dwelling of imaginary Holy Ghost render this claims as fallacious and absurd facts.

Silas wrote and objected saying

Muhammad is not the Comforter because he never knew the disciples and he didn’t teach these disciples, and Muhammad never reminded the disciples of what Christ said.

My Response : The main problem with Silas was his dishonesty is what cause his downfall. He preposterously claimed that Muhammad(saw) can not be the Comforter because he never knew the disciples.

First of all it was Surprisingly to know that Silas believe that Jesus was the Prophet being prophesied in Deutronomy 18:18 ( see his article here ) !!!

Secondly, how does Silas is sure that the Disciples Of Jesus did not know Muhammad(saw)? The fact that the Bible is silent about the life of Jesus from the age of 12 to 30 indicates that the record of the Bible on account of Jesus is NOT complete. Could it be possible that Jesus mentioned the named of Arabian Prophet as prophesied by Prophet Isaiah on Isaiah Chapter 42?

Thirdly, using Silas’s logic, Jesus too did not reminded the Disciples of Moses. So by his own standard, why then Silas believe that Jesus was the prophet being prophesied by Moses but he can not accept that it was Muhammad(saw) who was being prophesied by Jesus? Why begrudge it for Muhammad(saw)  if Silas was truly objective in his research?

Silas Wrote :

John 15:26When the Comforter comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.

The Comforter would be sent to these disciples.  These disciples received the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost.  Muhammad was never sent to these disciples.

My Response :

This is the frequent response by most Christian so far. The Pentecost Day on Book Of Acts 2.  What the Christians are hiding was just a few verses  where Peter said ;

Act 2:16 KJV But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

This is another event and has nothing to do with the advent of the ANOTHER Comforter.

Silas wrote :

John 16:13But when he, the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all truth.

The Comforter will guide these disciples into all truth.  These disciples (and others) grew in the knowledge of God through the revelations from the Holy Spirit.  Muhammad never guided these disciples into any truth.

My Response :

Can Silas substantiate his claims? Who are those Disciples of Jesus who had this “ALL TRUTH”???  Who among the Christians sects, denomination possess this “ALL TRUTH”???

Jesus too NEVER guided the disciple of Moses when Silas believed that it was Jesus who was prophesied in Deut 18:18.

Silas wrote :

John 16:13 — He will not speak on his own, he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

The Comforter will speak to these disciples.  These disciples grew to know the leading of the Holy Spirit, i.e. they knew His voice.  Muhammad never spoke to these disciples.

My Response :

Joh 16:13 KJV Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The clause ” He will not speak on his own, he will speak only what he hears,..” described a human prophet or angelic being simply sent by God.  The clause does not fit with the description of God as INDEPENDENT, and SELF-SUFFICIENT. The Comforter, The Spirit of Truth can NOT be Christian God – The Holy Ghost.

Silas wrote :

John 16:14He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.  All that belongs to the Father is mine.  That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

The Comforter will take from Jesus and make it known to the disciples.  Muhammad never knew Jesus and never took from Jesus and made it known to anyone.

My Response :

Jesus has nothing at all. All what Jesus have was simply bestowed to him by God.

Joh 7:16 KJV Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

Joh 17:3 KJV And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
